Special People, Special Ways ---- Megan Woodward

Megan Woodward
Special People, Special Ways
By: Arlene Maguire
Early childhood (kindergarten-3rd grade)
I chose this book because it is a great way for teachers and parents to show children that disabilities are not scary.  It also displays how disabilities are not different from anyone else.  The pictures in the book are very vibrant with water colors and keeps children interested in the story.  It also is a rhyming book.

The plot is about how each child has something to bring in the world.  The books talks about several different disabilities and how they are unique.  With every disability is a purpose for the child.
